Maps, Trees and Traces

about this course

Over ten weeks, artist Bronwyn Davies will guide participants through a series of creative explorations combining drawing, collage, vintage maps, stitching, embossing and mindful art-making practices. Drawing on themes from her exhibition Maps and Traces, the course encourages participants to slow down, observe deeply and create work that speaks to both personal and environmental narratives.

Through weekly live online sessions, demonstrations, discussions and studio exercises, participants will develop an individual body of work inspired by a place, tree, memory or landscape that holds meaning for them.

This course is as much about process as outcome — a space to reconnect with creativity, cultivate attention and explore the stories embedded within the natural world.
