In the Mist emerged from time spent at Wild Mountains in the Gondwana Rainforests of the Queensland Border Ranges.
Inspired by the strangler fig (Ficus watkinsiana), the work reflects on the way ideas take root and evolve, gradually gathering around an initial thought until they take on a life of their own.
The original work combines the image of the fig with a vintage cadastral map, bringing together landscape, mapping and the creative process.
