Timana is a privately owned but now deserted island.
Previously owned by artists sisters Valerie Albiston and Yvonne Cohen who lived on the island during Melbourne winters from 1937-1970s. It was also home to artists Bruce Arthur and Diana Conti.
No running water, no electricity, thick rainforest , a rudimentary hut, fish and oysters for food. reef surrounded yellow sands clear water an island dream.
This is an original artwork painted with acrylic on a stretched canvas measuring 30cm square with a depth of 4cm.
It is important to note that the artwork wraps around the frame and is fully ready to hang.
